She has developed culturally relevant, gender affirming and arts and activism curricula; published OpEds about youth leadership development and DACA; appeared on radio and television outlets; and contributed to local and national policy-making regarding justice, equity and investment for the advancement of young people. A graduate of Hampton University and New York University, Cidra was an executive leader for a Harlem-based social justice youth organization for nearly 20 years. She is an avid runner, and member of Renaissance Church.
